Crisman School is a private, independent school for students with learning differences including, but not limited to, ADD, ADHD, dyslexia and autism.

The mission of Crisman School is to teach bright children with learning differences to be successful academically, socially and emotionally.

Crisman is accredited through the Independent School Association of the Southwest, which is recognized by the TEA. The school is also a member of the Texas Association of Non-Public Schools, the National Association of Children with Learning Disabilities, and the Texas Association of Children with Learning Disabilities.

Teachers at Crisman are paid competitive salaries in comparison to other private schools in the region. While salaries are on a lower scale than public schools, professionals elect to join the faculty of Crisman because of the philosophy of the school.

9. Special Needs Programs

Individualized instructional objectives are developed for each student in math, reading, and written language. Alphabet Phonics is taught to students identified as dyslexic. Speech therapy is available for students who qualify.

Special focus areas include art, reading, math, and language arts. Instruction is offered in all content areas.
