ETCS offers K4 through 12th grade on one 24-acre campus. Included in the complex are a science lab, computer lab, and music and art rooms as well as individual classrooms for each grade. East Texas Christian School strives to be part of the equation in preparing students for college as well as becoming responsible leaders who will make an impact in their community as well as in the kingdom of God.

2. Academic Test Scores

Outstanding ACT and SAT scores have resulted in many offers of college scholarships. Recent graduating classes have averaged over $10,000 per student in college scholarships.

ETCS administers the Stanford Achievement Test to grades Kindergarten 5 through 12th grade. Scores are consistently above both grade level and the national average.

3. Accreditation

East Texas Christian School is accredited by the International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA). ICAA is recognized by the TEA, nationally, and internationally. The latest ICAA site visit team gave the school exemplary ratings and highest commendations in academics, safety and staff. ETCS was recognized by ICAA for having an above average number of teachers holding a master's degree. ETCS is also a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Students compete in ASCI Academic and fine art competitions annually on a district level.

4. National Recognition

The ETCS Varsity soccer team won state in both 2003 and 2005. ETCS Athletic teams routinely place well at regional and state competitions.

ETCS teachers' salaries are competitive in comparison to other Christian schools in the area. National average salaries for Christian schools are also reviewed annually. ETCS seeks to be at or above the national average.

East Texas Christian School believes strongly in providing individual attention to each student. In order to meet this goal, we stay below the state-required ration of 1:22.

East Texas Christian School regularly updates textbooks and teacher resources in order to provide our students with the most current information in science and history, as well as new workbooks in Language Arts and good quality textbooks in other subjects. ETCS is committed to providing manipulatives, hands-on science models, videos, and other resources to meet the needs of every learning style.

ETCS' library has both resource materials and recreation books.

ETCS focuses on preparing students to reach their greatest potential in every area of their lives. Students have the opportunity to take an active part in chapel, Bible class and in community service activities. Academic expectations are set at a high standard. In addition, ETCS offers honors and advanced-track programs. Electives for secondary grades include choir, art, drama, and journalism/yearbook. Sports offered are volleyball, soccer, basketball, track, and cheerleading. The Charger volleyball, soccer, basketball, and track teams have advanced to state. The cheerleaders have advanced to both state and nationals. Extracurricular activities include homecoming, pep rallies, Junior/Senior banquet, Senior trip, academic competitions, fine arts competitions, student council, Leadership Tomorrow program, community service, and the Adopt-A-Leader program. Elementary offers music, art, physical education, basketball, interscholastic field competitions, ACSI academic competitions, and music and drama presentations. Plans for continued expansion include a larger gym, additional classrooms, and expanding the playground.
