The Longview Economic Development Corporation (LEDCO) Board of Directors yesterday voted to approve a performance agreement with Holt CAT Longview to support the expansion of its thriving Longview facility.

The expansion, focused on upgrades to accommodate larger series engines in addition to the expansion of testing facilities, will ensure that the current 104 full-time jobs at the facility remain in East Texas. Longview has a long-standing and successful partnership with its manufacturing community, and LEDCO is committed to continuing that momentum well into the future.

“This expansion speaks to the strength of our local economy and the partnership between the City of Longview and our manufacturing community. We are proud to support legacy industry growth, and grateful Holt CAT continues to see value in growing here, creating new opportunities for our workforce and contributing to our city’s momentum.” Wayne Mansfield, LEDCO President/CEO

“This expansion reflects our confidence in the Longview community. We are excited to make an investment in Longview that will support the future operations and growth of Holt CAT.” Kalinka Ivanova, Vice President, Real Estate & Development

"HOLT CAT is an incredible corporate partner in our Longview community. We are grateful for their investment in our economy and the partnership of LEDCO with our existing local businesses. LEDCO's emphasis to support and invest in our existing businesses, as well as drawing new business to the area is how we continue to succeed. HOLT CAT's investment will provide millions of dollars back into Longview and increase production, which will benefit the city through increased sales taxes for years to come." Mayor Kristen Ishihara, City of Longview
